Evidence-guided applications

Where we are validating — and what still needs testing

Family farming is the focus. Other contexts only advance when a well-defined problem, a test protocol, and a documented result exist.

Validation contexts

The terms “current focus,” “planned validation,” and “complementary market” indicate an investigation stage—not commercial availability.

Current focus

Family farming in the semiarid

Context: Lower-scale properties face repetitive tasks, heat, uneven terrain, and limited access to suitable mechanization.

What will be investigated: 4×4 mobility, solar support, remote control, spraying, and vegetation management in real conditions.

Available evidence: Prototype TRL 5 under technical validation; no conclusive agronomic or economic result yet.

Planned validation

Vegetable gardens and nurseries

Context: Narrow corridors and frequent transportation and monitoring tasks require compact equipment.

What will be investigated: Evaluate lightweight transportation, route repeatability, and bed information logging.

Available evidence: Application not yet validated; requirements and test protocol need to be defined with users.

Planned validation

Fruit growing and tutored crops

Context: Vines, trellises, and cultivation rows create height, width, reach, and drift constraints.

What will be investigated: Improve and measure localized spraying, inter-row mowing, and box transport.

Available evidence: There are initial implement tests; efficacy, safety, and impact on cultivation will be evaluated.

First pilot completed

Operation and maintenance of solar plants

Context: The company already has experience in solar O&M; an initial pilot also tested the robot in this environment.

What will be investigated: Expand the vegetation management pilot under the modules to measure performance, safety, and durability across different plants.

Available evidence: The first pilot tested vegetation management under the modules. There is still no commercial offer nor widely validated performance for solar plants.

The platform can evolve, but focus will not be diluted

After the agricultural qualification, the architecture could be studied for other repetitive physical tasks. No new sector will be presented as satisfied before its own validation.
